Davis, Alec. Packaging in Norway. Art and Industry vol.40, no.236 (Feb.1946) pp.41-45 illus.
A report on developments in Norwegian packaging design since the early 1940s. German occupation of the country during World War Two lead to privations and packaging had to be designed for new substitute goods. This “provided a stimulus to Norwegian package design”. Examples of wartime and recent packaging for ersatz tea, cosmetics and tobacco are illustrated in the article. Designers and design firms whose work is featured include Thau Reklamebyra, Ulf Aas, Oenulf Haug and Egner [note: assumed to be Thorbjørn Egner. [8 illustrations]
