Coventry, F.H. Design for comfort by sea & air. Art and Industry vol.56, no.334 (Apr.1954) pp.110-119, 143, front cover illus.
Following a review of the design of the interiors of the Greek Line's new 'Olympia' ocean liner (by Theodore Alexander, Emmanual Lazarides and A. McInnes Gardner & Partners), the author considers the design of the interiors of a number of contemporary airliners including the Princess flying boat, BOAC Comet, BEA Elizabethan (De Havilland Airspeed Ambassador), BEA Viscount (Vickers-Armstrong), Pan American Airways System DC4 and DC6-B, and BOAC Stratocruiser. He compares the level of comfort to be found in the respective modes of transport. [23 illustrations]
