R. J. Abraham was active as a painter in England during the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Between 1877 and 1909 Abraham exhibited paintings at the Royal Academy, Baillie Gallery, New Gallery, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, and Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours in London; Manchester City Art Gallery; and at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Abraham lived at 5 Brook Street, Stoke-on-Trent in 1877; Woodhouse Terrace, Stoke-on-Trent in 1888; and at 12a Edith Terrace, Fulham Road, London in 1891
