Abbott, Albert Leigh [1890-1952. UK. Architect]

 

Albert Leigh Abbott was born in Harlesden, Middlesex, England in 1890. Nothing is known about his training as an architect apart from the fact that he was awarded a Society of Architects Travelling Studentship in 1913. He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925 and Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1931. In 1920-21 he was Inspector of Housing, Ministry of Health, and later for various local authorities. He died in Dulwich, London on 13 December 1952.
