A. Wertheim was a department store chain in founded in Stralsund, Germany in 1875 by Abraham (Adolf) Wertheim. They subsequently opened stores in Berlin and throughout Germany. The business was ‘Ayranisised’ and taken over by the National Socialists in the late 1930s
