Adam, William (”Willie”) [1738-1820. UK. Architectural Developer]
William Adam [also known as Willie Adam] was born in Scotland, possibly in Linktown, Fife, in 1738. He was the son of William Adam (1689-1748) and brother Robert Adam (1728-1792), James Adam (1732-1794) and John Adam (1721-1792), however, unlike them he appears not to have worked as an architect but was a business partner in his brothers’ practise. He died in 1820 and was buried in Fife on 27 November that year
