Abdo, Alexander [1865-1934. UK. Painter]

 

Alexander Abdo was born in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, England in 1865. Nothing is known about his training as an artist. His death was recorded in Uxbridge, Middlesex [now London] in 1934.

Alexander Abdo painted fantasies and symbolic and romantic landscapes. He studied art privately and exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, the London Salon, and the Royal Cambrian Academy. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1908 to 1927. His residence at the time was in Southall.
