Albert, Fritz Wilhelm [1865-1940. USA. Ceramist/Sculptor]

 

Fritz Wilhelm Albert was born in Europe in 1865. He moved to to Chicago, Illinois in 1893 to work at the World’s Fair. He was later hired by William Day Gates to work at his American Terra Cotta Tile and Ceramic Company (Teco Pottery) in Terra Cotta, near Chicago. After working for Gates for a number of years, he left to work for his competitor, Northwest Terra Cotta. Albert Died in 1940.
