Adams, Peter Michael [1946-. USA. Furniture Designer/Maker]
Peter Michael Adams was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1946 and studied at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts (B.A., 1968). After serving an apprenticeship in carpentry and cabinetmaking in Alaska (1971-75), he studied wood design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1976) and at Antioch University-West in San Francisco, California (M.A., 1981). In 1979 he was appointed artist-in-residence at Penland School of Crafts in Penland, North Carolina.

Adams’s work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in Boston, Massachusetts
