Aanonsen, Hugh [-. USA. Ceramist]
Hugh Aanonsen was born in the USA and studied at City College in San Francisco and then University of California at Berkeley, but dropped out. He later earned his baccalaureate at San Francisco State College [now San Francisco State University and an M.F.A. at San Jose State College [now San Jose State University] in San Jose, California.
Aaronson has taught at high schools in San Francisco including Abraham Lincoln High School and then Woodrow Wilson High School [now Philip and Sala Burton High School] and Lowell High School, where he was for many years chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department.
A solo exhibition of ceramics by Aanonsen was held at Anneberg Gallery in San Francisco, California, in 1973
