Affleck Desbarats Dimakopoulos Lebensold Sise (ADDLS) originated as Affleck Desbarats Dimakopoulos Lebensold Michaud Sise (ADDLMS), an architectural founded by Raymond Tait Affleck (1922-1989), Guy Desbarats (1925-2003), Dimitri Dimakopoulos (1929-1995), Frederic (Fred) David Lebensold (1907-1985), Jean Michaud and Hazen Sise (1906-1974) in Montreal, Quebec, in 1955. In 1958 Michaud left the firm which was then renamed Affleck Desbarats Dimakopoulos Lebensold Sise. From 1970 the practice was known as ARCOP Associates, Architects and Planners. Projects by ADDLMS. DDDLS and ARCOP included the Grande Salle (now Salle Wilfred-Pelletier), Place des Arts, Montréal (1958-63); the Fathers of Confederation Centre, Charlottetown (completed 1964); and the National Art Centre in Ottawa, Ontario (1964-69); and Man the Producer and Man the Explorer theme buildings at Expo 67, the Exposition Universelle et Internationale, held in Montreal (1967).
