Adamson, Jerry

Jerry Adamson was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1937 and studied industrial design at Ontario College of Art. He subsequently worked for the designer Robin Bush (1921-1982) in Vancouver, British Columbia, before joining the Toronto, Ontario-based industrial design firm Dudas Kuypers Rowan [later known as KAN Industrial Design] in 1963. Five years later he became a partners in the firm. Products he designed for DKR/KAN included plastic furniture, notably the Habitat chair and ottoman (1967), and the Life Long electric kettle for Proctor-Silex (1970)
