Aardewerk, Sem [1929-1995. Netherlands. Interior Architect]
Samuël Aardewerk [commonly known as Sem Aardewerk] was born on 21 January 1929. He was active as a interior architect in the Netherlands from the 1950s onwards. Together with Gerrit Rietveld and others, Aardewerk was responsible for trhe design of the Netherlands pavilion at the Exposition Universelle et Internationale (Expo 58) in Brussels in 1958. A photograph of the interior of the interior designed by Aardewerk is featured in ‘Graphis’ vol.14, no.78, August/September 1958 (p.297). Aardewerk died on 24 November 1995
