Ahtiala, Heikki [1913-. Finland. Graphic/Poster Designer/Painter]

 

Heikki Ahtiala was born in Finland in 1913 and worked in as a graphic designer, poster artist and painter. Ahtiala designed at least one book cover - for ‘Pitkät jäähyväiset’ (1956), a Finnish translation of Raymond Chandler’s novel ‘The Long Goodbye’. A poster for Fazer sweets, entitled ‘Sanokaa Fazer kun haluatte hyvää’, poster for Fazer sweets entitled ‘Sanokaa Fazer kun haluatte hyvää’’ designed by Ahtiala is illustrated in ‘Graphis’ vol.15, no.81, January/February 1959 (p.18)
