Albieri, Gino [1881-1949. Italy. Painter/Poster Designer]

 

Gino Albieri was born in Cavarzere, Venice, on 29 July 1881. He was one of the first ‘aeropainters’ and painted some canvases aboard the military airship M2. He designed posters for the Prestito Nazionale (National Building Society) in 1917, the Espizione dell’Aeronautica Italiana (Aeronautical Exhibition) in 1934 and for the Mostra della Difesa Chimica in Padua (Chemical Weapons Exhibition) in 1934. Albieri died in Venice in 1949
