Adriani, Emidio
[1897-1961.
Italy
. Poster Designer]
Emidio Adriani was born in Foligno. Perugia, Italy, in 1897. He was a prolific poster artist active in Emilia-Romagna between the 1920s and 1950s. His posters, with their sharp, geometric lines, were evidently inspired by the second Futurist movement. A poster he designed for Maserati in 1941 is illustrated in ‘Catalogo Bolaffi del Manifesto Italiano. Dizionario degli Illustratori’ (Turin: Giulio Bolaffi Editore, 1995) p.2. Adriani died in Bologna in 1961.
