Albitz, Hans-Adolf (H.A.) [1920-1969. Germany. Graphic/Poster Designer]

 

Hans-Adolf Albitz [also known as Hans Adolf Albitz; H.A. Albit;z and as Hans A. Albitz] was born in Peine, Germany on 11 April 1920. He worked as a graphic designer and poster artist in Berlin from the 1940s onwards. Three posters designed by H.A. Albitz are illustrated in 'Graphis' vol.7, no.36, 1951 - a poster for the Nordstern (North Star) Life Assurance Company, Berlin, designed with Ruth Albitz (p.259); a poster for 'Der Kurier' newspaper (p.260); and a poster for an exhibition in of exports (p.260). Albitz was a member of the Berlin Group of the Bund Deutscher Gebrauchsgraphiker (Association of German Commercial Artists). Hans-Adolf Albitz died in 1969.
