Adorney, Charles S. [-. USA. Illustrator]

 

Charles S. Adorney worked as a commercial artist for the New York City-based advertising agency Calkins & Holden during the 1950s. A drawing by Adorney for a press advertisement for the Upholstery Leather Group designed by René Clarke and produced by Calkins & Holden is illustrated in ‘Art and Industry’ December 1952 (p.182). Another illustration by him for an advertisement Firmenich Inc., art directed by W.B. Geoghegen and J.A. Clarke, and produced by Calkins & Holden is illustrated in ‘Graphis’ vol.10, no.51, 1954 (p.21). The illustration featured in the Art Directors Club of New York’s 32nd Annual Exhibition held in 1953
