Aas, Ulf [1919-2011. Norway. Graphic Designer/Illustrator]
Ulf Aas was born in Kristiania [now Osloo] on 14 September 1919. He worked as a graphic designer and book illustrator in Norway from the 1940s to the 1960s. Aas designed packaging for Marléne cosmetics and beauty products, posters for the Norwegian Travel Association and a press advertisement for the French Chamber of Commerce. He also designed a number of stamps for the Norwegian postal service. From 1939 he worked for the Oslo-based advertising agency A/S Høydahl Ohme. Aas died in Oslo on 16 December 2011.
