AB Svenska Telegrambyrån [1891-?. Sweden. Advertising Bureau]

 

AB Svenska Telegrambyrån was the advertising department of the Svenska Telegrambyrån, the first news agency in Sweden. It was founded in Stockholm in 1891 as the Svenska Telegrambyråns annonsavdelning by Carl von Utfall and Alfred Fichs. Their clients included the publisher Tidens Förlag and the Mejeriernas Riksföreningen (Swedish Dairy Products Association). A press advertisement they produced for the Svenska Mejeriernas Riksföreningen is illustrated in 'Art and Industry' February 1937 (p.41), and an advertisement they produced for for Rustibuss children's clothes is illustrated in Graphis vol.11, no.59, 1959 (p.204). The bureau was active until at least the 1970s
