Ahlers, Fritz [1890-1973. Germany. Poster Designer/Painter/Illustrator]
Fritz Ahlers was born in Düpe, Oldenburg, Germany on 11 December 1890. He was a self-taught artist and worked as a painter and poster designer from c.1915 onwards.
Ahlers was influenced by the Expressionist movement. He was a member of the Bund Deutscher Gebrauchsgraphiker and the Reichsverband bildender Künstler Deutschlands.
His address was given as Emdenerstr. 57, Berlin NW in 1921; and Elsholzstr. 17, Berlin W. in 1930. He died in 1973.
