Akizuki, Shigeru [1930-. Japan. Packaging Designer]

 

Shigeru Akizuki was born in Aoyama, Japan, in 1930. He graduated from the Japan Advertising Art School in 1955 before working as a freelance designer. In 1975 he published '7 Designers' Package Design', and held a personal engraving exhibition at a Keiyo department store the following year. His prizes have included the Japan Package Design Association Membership (1967), Supreme and Promotional Prize of Japan Package Design Annual (1985) and the Silver Prize in the 2nd New York ADC International Competition (1988).
