Adam D. Tihany International [now, 2009, known as Tihany Design] is a multidisciplinary design firm founded by Adam D. Tihany (1946-) in New York City in 1978. They are one of the leading firms in the field of hospitality design. Notable among their projects have included the interior of the Café Beaux Arts in Washington, DC (1987); the interior of Metro restaurant in Manhattan, New York (1988); the interior of Pomodoro restaurant in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles (1989); interior of Remi Redux restaurant on Sixth Avenue and 53rd Street, New York (1990); interiors of the Royal Beach Hotel in Eilat, Israel (1994); the redesign of the Gundel restaurant in Budapest (1995); the interior of Time restaurant on Times Square, New York (1999); renovation of the guest rooms, public areas and dining facilities of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel in London (2000); the design of the installation 'GrandHotelSalone' held in conjunction with the Salon Internazionale del Mobile in Milan (2002); the design of Hanger One, a private aviation club at the airport in Scottsdale, Arizona (2003); the redesign of Excelsior resturant in Boston, Massachusetts (2003); the design of the exhibition 'Dining Design' held in conjunction with the Salon Internazionale del Mobile in Milan (2004); the interior of Jade on 36, a restaurant at the Pudong Shangri-la Hotel in Shanghai (2006); the interior of Le Cirque, a restaurant in Manhattan, New York (2006).
